Masking for Powder Coating

For all you guys that have had frames and swing arms powder coated what did you do about masking threads, headstock plugs etc ?

Did you replace all the bearings in swingarm / swingarm pivot?

Do all seals etc need replacing after powder coating?

I use good old masking tape. Works fine. If I strip a bike down I always replace all bearings as a matter of course.

it needs to go down to a bare frame
as you will need to have it shot or bead blasted.
I removed all the bearings from the swing arm as they would of been like grit after that
the company I used covered / masked all the important bits for me
and they used a rubber like compound to plug up all the threads before coating

so in short all bearing and seals replaced yes

The place I used Redditch shotblasters did all the masking for me. They used aluminum foil tape. It sticks like the perverbial and trims up with only the use of a flat blade.
