Stainless Steel Clutch prings Do Ducati Performance do a set of stainless steel clutch springs, I was looking at mine on my 998 and as ive got an open clutch cover the springs have started to go rusty. I have seen some aftermaket ones for sale but Im worried that if I fit these and I susequently have a problem with the clutch it may invalidate the warranty. If Ducati do them any idea how much for a set ? wadd |
Hi wadd, i asked jhp the oter day and Mark in the stores told me Ducati don't do them. I am in the same boat as you with rusty springs. A mate of mine is making a set for me in stainless. have a good christmas mark |
Casoli's do 'em for 25quid a set. |
And spares shack do also. I have them fitted and have had warranty work carried out with no probs |
Didn't Nelly (Cornerspeed) do these as well? I know he does the stainless wheel nuts, but I'm sure I remember him saying something about them. [panto mode] Maybe if we say his name three times he'll appear... Nelly... Nelly... Nelly... |
Hello there...........:P Yes, I did have some. I don't have any in at the moment though. Stuart at Spareshack is my source for them though, so it may be easier to get them from him direct at the moment? I can certainly vouch for them. Quality pieces of kit. |
Most of the usual aftermarket suppliers will do S/S springs for the big dukes. here`s mine on the 998, I also had some S/S spring retaing caps made as well. |
Where do you get your springs and caps from? Is the red plate a slipper clutch or coloured pressure plate? Is that a DP vented cover? Sorry for all the questions Thanks Lee1980 ;) |
Wadd Dp pressure plate £60 from local dealer stainless springs and retaining bushes (c/w new sockethead screws) from casoli came the next day and look top notch with at tecmoto half vent cover £96 :) |
Are the springs straight forward to fit ? Wadd |
