Noise Output

Sposed to go to Castle Coombe tomorrow, they have strict noise regs usually but as its privately hired, the limit for tomorrow is 105DbA, measured at 3/4 revs from 0.5 metres away....

Do I have a hope in hell of getting the bike thru the checks? :(

dickieducati 17-Feb-2004 11:43

you should.......i understand all the 916/996/998 range were 105 with termi's. but under new homologation rules the new 749/999 are now just 102.

How about if they have needed repacking for the last 4000 miles?

rockhopper 17-Feb-2004 12:16

Crap isnt it? 105dB is twice as loud at 102dB.

Noise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always thought its what we ducati owners call music.;)

Rattler 18-Feb-2004 00:41

Not if you\'ve got race termis on!!!!

...are you sure Tim? 105 is friggin loud. I've been checked before with my race Micron on the CB500 and it was 103 I think. Don't know how it compares.

Is it a one off check or random/constant throughout the day.

Thats a amazing noise level for Castle Combe, its tighter than that at the New ERA meetings that I usually race in there
