clutch plate prob trying to fit this plate to my 748 (see pic) took the orig one off but cannot get the centre (don`t know what its called) bit out.....do i need a part for the centre of the new plate ??? thanks all |
Hi Unc The Push rod top hat and the bearing it sits in should tap out of your old pressure plate with out to much force, I did Senna3's for him the other day using a socket to drift it in to the new plate. |
ah ha ! yes, i did give the bearing a tap (lightly) but was concerened that i might break something....i got the top hat out but it was the bearing that was proving stubborn..will give it another go.. thanks:) |
Maybe a bit cold in the garage for doing this sort of thing at the moment, try a bit of WD40 around the outside of the bearing and do it in the warm, could even try warming the pressure plate with a hair dryer (Lambretta or Vespa) |
thanks all, got it done today....:) (dsc membership ? best £25 i ever spent):) |
