Another pooter query !!! I won't you with the details, suffice it to say I have been having major problems with my pooter, which is worrying cos' i need it for my business. After having had the hard drive formatted and everything re-installed only 3 weeks ago, i am struggling with more problems. My question is this and I do realise I am clutching at straws but maybe one of you lads/ladies may know. I am running Win98SE a short while ago I had to upgrade MS Office to a newer version it is now 2000 premium.and here it comes it is in Spanish could there possibly be a conflict with Win98SE in English and Office in Spanish. I get some things coming up in English and some in Spanish... Word has a bit of a snit with the spell checker it faults everything for a while then it seems to realise I am typing in English then it reverts to the English dictionary. any clues anyone....A virtual double for the one that solves this mystery cheers Phil |
I'd re- boot it mate.... straight out of the nearest window in a 27 story block:lol::lol: Sorry, not very helpful, but couldn't resist my age old joke.. |
Have you got the latest office patches from the microsoft website? These seem to solve a lot of os/office conflicts. Dunno about the spanish bit though. I would suggest you uninstall it, take it back to where you got it and order an English one. [Edited on 8-3-2004 by fodder] |
Dave W: that has crossed my mind more than once these last few weeks believe me!! Fodder: The Office that I have has alternative languages i.e. Castellano, Euskera, Gallego, Catalan, but not the local Asturianu (Bable) or English the Spanish I can manage without too many problems I just wonder if Win98 is getting it's knickers in a twist and English programmes are not an off the shelf item here:mad: |
