Fork Oil - weight
 

Morning Lads and lasses
Any idea what the weight of the oil should be in the standard forks on a 888 SP5??
Any info appreciated!

Shell are recommending a 10W fork oil.

On that note, anyone know what is recommended for a 93 888 strada?

My front end is way too hard for my weight. I know new springs are the way to go but in the interim would putting a lighter oil in make any difference?

The forks are due new oil anyway shortly so thought I would look at this in case it would help.

A couple of people including John H at JHP said 5 weight was the way to go. Seems OK at the moment.

Me, I've got 10W in 851 and 888 strada and it works for me.......

But I like a nice firm front end :D
