Running at last + oil change + Damn Toby steering damper

Yep...after a previous failed attempt my beauty is now running once more after a good plug cleaning and gapping session.

I let her get nice and hot while I took a fairing panel off and then drained the oil and took the filter off as well.

I have another K&N oil filter to go in and bought some Duckhams semi-synthetic oil cheap from Ruthford autojumble ready for an oil change but, after Shamzams reply to one comment I left, I'm sorely tempted to stay with the Mobil1 I had in previously......

Especially as there was hardly any swarf on the magnetic sump plug when I inspected it...(I wonder if it worth cutting the oil filter up and having a look inside).
I even did a quick flush and that oil looked clear when it came out......all down to my super-smooth (Read: slow) riding style I guess

I'll have a think about that one.

Hmmmmm...Toby steering damper.....tried offering the lovely looking item up while I had the panel off and it looks OK BUT.....(why is there always a but !!!!)......the silly French twits fabricated the fork clamp from one piece of alloy with a single cut for a clamp bolt....so..... I have to drop the bleedin forks down just to get the ring on - Grrrrrrrrr :mad::o:mad::mad:

And I have not even started looking at the digital gear indicator yet - what a laugh.

Frank can you not just remove the top yoke and handle bar to fit the clamp to the fork leg, that s what I usually do.
