Machining down a rear wheel socket Anyone know of somone who will be able to machine my rear wheel socket, arround the Oxfordshire area? |
what do you want done, just the front few millimeteres taken off if so , i know its a way but send it to Hastings and i will do it for you regards stuart |
Karl, I used a standard bench grinder to do mine. Works fine for what you need. You will get one pretty cheaply from most hardware outlets and it'll come in handy for all sorts of jobs. Guido |
I had mine turned down. It cost me more than the damn socket! Mind you, the socket was free. [Edited on 16-3-2004 by Felix] |
i didnt say i would charge for it, very handy to have a machine in the garage:frog: |
Karl try asking Dallas, he's finished the new garage and has the Lathe working again, failing that I can get it done in the workshop at work. |
Thanks Stuart for the kind offer, have U2U you :D |
Wow thanks for the help guys, who do I call first?? I think I get in touch with Dallas, and see if I can get use of his lathe, he`s only a few miles away, failing that Kev and Stuart might contact one of you. |
