Hmmmm....if its 14 years old it gonna need an overhaul !!! Strangely I cant find the reference on the Ohlins website, this link might work... http://www.ohlins.com/cgi-bin/dbsok/...st&category=mc Harris are one of the distributors if I remember right.....over £400 for a new one.....typical...I've seen 3 recently and settled for a WP last year !!!! Ho Hum |
The shock actually comes off an earlier SS than the common carbed 91-97 model. I don't know if it'd fit the later carbed one but if it does then it'll also fit the SSie version. The major difference between the carbed shock and the injected one is that the injected one is about half an inch longer. Ohlins shocks though have, I believe, around half an inch of ride height adjustment. Enough to take up the original difference in length. Saying all that as Frank says the shock is getting on a bit and will no doubt need an overhaul at what £100 upwards? I guess if it were cheap enough then it might be worth a punt but it has that magic word "Ohlins" on it so I bet it goes for more money than it's worth... |
