Typical... I go along to the WVAM bike meeting last night, and what do I find ? 3 other ST4S's sitting in the car park. Now this is bad. Before we know it they'll be getting a reputation for being as good/better than VFRs, and then everyone will have one  What is worse though is that they were all the same colour as mine !! Have to be different somehow. Anyone got a tub of pink metalflake paint ?? (not for mine - for thiers !! ) |
UnTypical John That's one of the reasons why I boughtn a yellow one - they don't sell yellow ST4s in CH so I always spot mine in a car park full of them at the top of the Klausen Pass . The other reason is that of course yellow ones go faster :sing: |
VERY TYPICAL Y ou remind me of when I bought the ST2, our local dealers had an offer on ST's a few months later and .. before I knew it I was living in ST city. As for the colour, why do the people in the know (Ducati Corse ..of course <= shitty pun intended) race them in the obviously faster colour as they do ?? |
Dedicated follower of fastone... ...I buy a red Ducati, we get a rash of same in the club. I buy a grey one and look what happens... At least I didn't have to write an ST2 off on a passing deer to get mine. Which is now handling like it ought - new wheel bearings (warranty) don't half make a difference. And I apologise to Pirelli for all the nasty things I said and thought about the Diablo Corse... Richard |
okay Richard, yours can stay silver too, just Malcolms one to soon become candy pink  Btw, interesting about the wheel bearing. Talking to a guy on Friday with a yellow ST4S who also had to have a new rear bearing at 12k. His however was not covered by warranty even though it was done at his 24month service... Cheers, John. |
