Flakey paint
 

Hi Guys
looking to give the bike a good makeover soon. The one area i am not happy with, is the flakey paint on the crankcases. Any one found a good way to redress this problem area without resorting to a full engine strip and blast/respray. The engine will be out of the bike at the time, so access will be pretty good. I have even contemplated stripping all the paint of. and lacquering the bare cases. Not sure about just a touch-up job as the problem will keep recurring.
Any thoughts guys
