Slipper Clutch-questions

First time I have ever had a dry slipper clutch, the downshift is great, the questions I have of other slipper Clutch users are:

Do you, did you, find the slow speed, 1st to 2nd a bit fierce (grabby), and have a strange noise, how can I describe it, like a grating noise, in all other aspects the shifting is smooth and no issues

Using DP slipper Clutch with sintered clutch kit, on a Hypermotard

Stack height is really critical...............but that noise is generally what they all do sir..........pulling away clutch in or out, no japanese inl/4 slippy clutch to get away....

Did you notice if the sintered clutch pack had a dished plain plate in it? Most "racing" packs don't and if this is what it was sold as then chances are it'll be missing one to. the dished plate helps with the take up and prevents the graunching.
You can get them seperately for about a fiver. Replace one of the plain plates with it.
Also, did you build the clutch up to suit a slipper? it's different to the road setup up. Friction plate in first, not two plains.
