DO IT!!!!! I'm guessing you won't regret it. I want a 998R (ring me if anyone has one and is thinking of selling it!!!)

Ducati Manchester have a couple of 996Rs in:

DUCATI 996R , 2001 Y Reg , 8,150 miles. from the UKs leading Ducati Store, full service history, Garaged, Genuine UK bike, Alarm. All the benefits of dealer facilities, part-ex deals, easy finance, full support. Usual 'R' spec: Ohlins suspension, carbon fibre bodywork, Termig's £12,995

DUCATI 996R . from the UKs leading Ducati Store, Genuine UK bike. All the benefits of dealer facilities, part-ex deals, easy finance, full support. Rare opportunity to own a very limited edition classic, please call for more details. £15,995

hrmmmm ... there is something to be said for owning the last of the 'classic' shape with the best spec ...

If the opportunity arose (and I could my wife to agree - could be difficult) at the right price I would lump for a 998R.
