DSC at Cadwell = awesome!! Twas a great couple of days for sure; Great to catch up with friends old and new, enjoy a few beers, too much food and great banter. Gutted for Jasper, there were some gorgeous Ducatis there - luv Skids 998R - fablus, gorgeous but edgy, like a princess with tatoos!!:0 And man thanks to Chaz for completely rebuilding the bike in the few days before the event as my engine had gone phut and I need a new bottom end!! He was also running around the country collecting and delivering parts to get it sorted - thanks mate!! The rain stoppage on Monday helped as I'd have been completely shagged by Tuesday eve otherwise....:) Quote:
Hope I wasn't too much of a nuisance, I really enjoyed my first stint at instructing, I hope those crazy enough to ask me for some advice got some value. I've only crashed at Cadwell 3 times, so I know where not to go !!!! ;) It was also good practice for my and Couch's Endurance race at Cadwell on the 4th July - come along for a laugh if you're in the area, it'll be a hoot. Details of the event are here; http://www.hottrax-motorsport.co.uk/# Cadwell schedule - http://www.hottrax-motorsport.co.uk/...SCHEDULE-2.pdf Team T2 - "I'll be cr4p" or in a t' Northern accent - "I'll be @ back" ![]() Tim |

Cheers for the comments about the 998R Tim, I'm glad you liked it, i will get it starting better when I get time to look at it and can sort out whats what with the wiring looms, not sure if the quickshifter joins into the original harness are causing an issue. As for the rain, that seems to have killed my 996, only did a couple of laps in the downpour and then parked up, since doing that I now have an intermittent fault that uts the feed to the fuel pump/coils/injectors The fault comes and goes of its own accord, just spent the last 30 minutes looking at connectors and voltages on various pins. Trouble is its behaving at the moment sat on the drive so no fault to be found. Good to see you enjoying the two days and getting a chance to gel with the Trumpet, with the problems I was having I was wishing I had brought the R6 along |
The Bike looked and sounded great Tim, but I have to say you were in a right "flap" all day..... Gc ![]() |

Yeh - the baffle "fell" out on the final session and it was a chance to let the dBs go!!! - looking at that pic, it must have been the jacket that was slowing me down ;) - it was Chris Bushell's from the Moto Giro, so it had only been at a maximum of 10mph before! ;) |
was great to see you enjoying the bike after rebuild Tim :) many thanks for letting me clamber on and off it (with much help) was good to be sat on a bike again even if it's gonna be a while before i ride. ![]() |
Ahhh that was you lilly with the sticks. I saw you but did't know you. I'll come say Hi next time. Tim, despite the many warnings from peeps not to follow you round I actually got a hell of a lot from you. Thx Tim Craig |
