Have you ever said,"I wish I had never sold that bike"?Well I have on numerous occasions.Every time I see a nice Triumph Bonneville I get all dewy eyed over the last one I owned. It was a 1979 T140D a limited edition with mag wheels.Just recently I had the urge to buy another one,...mebbe its summat to to with the Bonneville series being 50 years old this year, mebbe its to much chemo that has addled my brain or mebbe its talking too long with old giffers like Marko;) :D ,....whatever,I had to have one.A nice one popped up recently and after a bit of haggling a sensible sale price was agreed.I picked it up yesterday and I'm chuffed to bits with it.Its an American export model, hence the smaller tank, excellent condition,....just needs a few bits and bobs to finish it off.Just the job for cruising down to the pub for a spot of sunday lunch.:)
Photo's are of a skinny old me in '79 on my origional bike and then my latest plaything.

Nice one KeefyB, Looks a goodun.
And yes I have that "Wish I had never sold it", but on a more modern bike.

If you love strokers, then the Yamaha 250 3XV comes near the top of the wish list.

The pic is from 1998, Cadwell track day.

That looks a really nice find Keefy-and Chris, don't even go there-we had THAT conversation last weekend at Donny. I was at Goodwood on Friday and all the old Yamaha's got my TZ juices flowing again-dangerous stuff nostalgia.

If you had one mate you'd need a bigger tool kit and plenty of oil not to mention strong fillings:lol: but you did make starting monty's single look easy:lol:

Lovely bike Keith you've got me all green eyed, if fact it's bloody smashing:frog:

If i could turn back time apart from the obvious I would have kept every motorbike I ever owned with the possibhle exception of a Honda VT250, we all make mistakes.
