swingarm removal idea 748/9** Is it possible to remove the swingarm without fully removing the engine from the frame (998). I know of the prising open the frame method but not to keen on that one and have had an idea. Was thinking if i remove the rear engine bolt, loosen the front one so the back of then engine swings downwards would it leave enough clearence to get the swingarm out. |
Hello Mello Yellow Hello ste996 That's prity much what I did to get the swinging arm on, lossen the two engine bolts, to allow the engine to drop down just a touch. I also had the bike attached to a pulley from the garage roof as it helped to lift the frame, and steady the bike. Dont forget to grease the swinging arm bolt on installation. Good luck. TopiToo |
