Best Road Tyres....... Got diablo's at the mo Probably replace with the new rosso's Anyone tried them....or suggest something better....:-) Road only all year round & no trackdays Thanks |
The best road tyres IMO are Michelin Pilot Road 2CT. Grippy enough in the dry to allow full lean, excellent in the rain and good life too - currently up to 6000 miles on the ER6 with another 3-4k left in them. Not quite as sticky as Pilot Power 2CT, but not so that you'd notice. The latter are great too - took me to a 4th place in the rain when my wets failed to turn up :) I rate both tyres leagues ahead of Diablos. |
I stuck Diablo Corsa's on my 900ss I got at a discount price. They're a good step up froam the standard Diablo's with more than enough grip on the roads & trackdays for me. Andy |
Thanks Maybe try 2ct's... Still scarred by Mich Pilot Sport tyres I tried a few years ago - terrible tyres - swore I'd never buy Mich again!! |

Pilot Sports don't compare. Power 2CTs are superb, but on the balance of things I prefer the Road 2's for the extra mileage and better wet weather grip. They are all you need for a road tyre and nothing leaves my Triumph on the road which, runs Pilot Road 2's. |
anyone got opinions on Avon Viper sports/supersports? |

Don't really know these so well, 2CT's and Diablo Corsa 3's get my vote! |
Looks like 2CT's or the Road 2's to me....... Can't believe I'm not buying Pirelli!! |
Couldn't get my hands on 2CT's a few months ago in time. went for BT016's and WOW!! The Diablo III's never inspired me. The 016's have given me a new lease with the bike. |
2CTs get my vote. No matter what the conditions they allways look after you. Cahanged from SuperCorsa Pros which were great in the dry :D but downright dangerous in the cold and wet. Suspect Road 2s are plenty good enough for the road, but havnt tried them. |
