Tyres for a 750 Sport
 

A (nearly) major moment this afternoon on a tight left-hander has prompted me to ask what tyres folks recommend for their 750.
I have BT020s front and back. The front has plenty of wear left after 5500 miles, the back is a recent replacement, with 150 miles on it. Standard sizes as specified by the owner's manual. Pressures at the OM specified level.

I don't run them on a 750, but Diablos seem to be the flavour of the month at the moment. Seem to perform well on all the Ducati models. I love 'em on my 748.
Wear rate is good, very stable and predictable and more than capable when the going gets "brisk".
the 020's are a pretty good tyre, if a little "touring" biased, and as you've plenty of life in them, try dropping the pressures a little. I run mine at 3-5 psi below the suggested levels for the road.
If you find you're not getting enough heat in them, try raising them a little.

I put Dunlop D207's on my 900ss, plenty of grip for the road and suit the bike really well - much better than the Michelin Hi Sports it came with - the steering is lighter and faster.:bouncy:

Just put bt010's on the ss750,fantastic!Thats both bikes with the same tyres,makes back to back rides interesting.
I could be very wrong here,but dont they have the same profile as the 020's with just a different compound?

Yep, it's quite common to have a 010 on the front and a 020 on the back.

010 front/020 rear ees a GOOD :devil::lol::devil:

Do they still make 010's? I thought they'd been replaced by the 014.
