750SS cush drive play This is an oddity - there's a certain amount of sideways float on the cush drive/sprocket assembly. You've got the spacer, and yes, I know it has to go the right way round, and that it's possible to get it the wrong way round resulting in a fully floating sprocket... OK, but even the right way round I have a few mm of sideways play. That's enough to bring the alloy sprocket centre *just* in contact with the swinging arm. It doesn't rub, but it just kisses it. I have the feeling the spacer is a couple of mm too long! Local dealer reckoned it was a common thing and as long as it wasn't actually rubbing, then no worries - and the chain pulls the thing central anyway. Comments? Solutions? Jeers? |

Hmmmmm...I have a spare rear wheel to build at some point and I think the cush drive should really be rebuilt as well. I heard they are quite costly (seem to remember £80 being mentioned !!!!). Ill have a look in the factory manual for any pointers. Good luck ! |
