Clutch bling...

Anyone else had clutch problems after fitting stainless springs...? :(

Many thanks.

No - but then it depends which ones you've bought!

To say it's Stainless Steel doesn't really mean anything as it can come in different grades with different attributes. Ideally you need to make sure that the springs you have are identical to standard type springs - rebound rate, compression rate, coil size, etc, etc.

IF you bought a decent set that has been specced properly then there's no reason why it shouldn't work identically to the standard springs... I know this from first-hand experience ;)

What kind of problems are you getting? Have you checked you've not tightened the bolts too far and the clutch has become coil bound?

Getting a lot of grabbing/snatching.
No signs of being coiled... How tight should they be?
I've just nipped them up.

It's a slipper BTW.

Thanks.

Anyone?

I've taken the plates out and they're within tolerance.
Bled the system.

Clutch still grabs like an ex-wife...!!!
