Race Licence
 

Hello,

Whats the best way to get a race licence if you live in scotland?

I emailed to people in scotland but nobody got back to me about it. im right in thinking i have to go through them to get a race licience? Does anyone else race from scotland who can help me out?

You can do the course at ACU house in Rugby but MSV and I think Hottrax also do the course at various circuits around the country.

i was told because i live in scotland i have to go through the SACU. Is that right?

Yes you have to join the SACU if you have a Scottish address.

Normal route is to Join the Kirkcaldy, Melville or SCRMC (Classic Club), clubs who will then send out forms for a licence. Not sure if you can apply direct to the SACU.
You need an eye test, then can apply for a licence.
Then you need to do one of the training days.

If you need any help, phone the SACU in Uphall, Yvonne in the office is very helpfull.
