Are all 916 bottom ends the same?
 

Hi, I've got a '97 916 which I've been told has a BP engine in it...are all 916 crankcases and heads interchangable? I know the later 996/8 (?) have different head stud spacings, but what about the 916?...Many thanks in advance,

Prety sure all the 916 engines are all the same, with just the SP3 version having bored out crankcases so the 955 kit can be easily fitted.

The 916SPS was a 996cc engine, which my understanding is that it has a different stud spacing
