Computer help please (saving images bizarre behaviour)!
 

Just had to re-install everything on a low level formatted drive. Since the re-install, when I try to save images from the net, regardless as to what format I tell it to save in, it saves as a JPEG with a .jpeg extension. DOS name is ***.jpe. Result, I can't open any images in Photoshop, in fact Photoshop doesn't even recognize that the file exists at all.

Very strange indeed and I haven't got a clue why it's doing it.

Someone please tell me what's going on before I sort it with a ballpeen!
