I have used them and they did exactly as promised. They open up transponder put new battery in and glue it back together.

Which model/s can we use?

These amb/mylap units seem expensive for what looks like a simple piece of electronics. Seems odd that there are no competing manufacturers? Does amb provide an exclusive pickup system to the tracks?

The AMB Tranx 260 is the one most people use, you can purchase your own or rent one on race day not sure what the price is to rent and i think a £50 deposit is requierd, but never having rented one i might be wrong.

plenty on ebay though.
