a bargain!

Too good to miss this one. :D

Got 18k mile 620 engine, ecu, t'bodies, airbox, swingarm, zorst headers, reg/rec, frame with v5 plus full loom still fitted - £260!!

All running perfectly until large front ender made it salvage, allegedly :)

Can't remember last time I had such a good deal - wouldn't take much to build a wet bike ;)

Sounds like the one that wa on Ebay down in Sussex, I would have been bidding on it but knew Andy Challis had his eye on it
Went for a Bargain Price

bradders 09-Dec-2011 18:45

yep it was Skids. Winning bidder didn't contact him, so he let me have it. Its mucky mind, like it lived in grease and oil! But perfect for spares

Nice spot, the bay bargans are there. Bit posh having a wet bike though and a double push to scrut in the morning lol

When you do have a Wet and Dry bike under the same race numbers they need to be checked by different scrutineers just in case anything untoward should happen.
And as we will be using the Hottrax Scrutineering cards this year Vin numbers will have to be entered on to them

Just thought I would share that

bradders 09-Dec-2011 21:51

not that it worries me but if there is no vin? Assume ok as long as no vin exists, ie not tampered or removed?

skidlids 09-Dec-2011 22:24

If not tampered with or removed the paint finish should be original, if powder coated it could be covering up where the VIN was.
With my Ex V&M Racing CBR600 which had a New Frame provided by Honda Britian I took the receipt for the bike with me to NG meetings and had to produce it on more than one occasion.
Sold that bike in 2000 and got a call from Humberside police about it 4 months ago. As the frame now has the VIN number from the original paperwork stamped on the headstock with traces of another VIN underneath.
Some Dodgy people out there

So will the headstock vin need to be visible, mines under last winters powdercoat?
