Brembo Levers Guys, I know that these are interchangeable between brakes and clutch but do you have to get the correct ratio lever that correspondes with the master cylinder? 16 x 16 levers seem hard to come by ( at reasonable prices) were as the 18 and 19 ratios are easy to acquire at a reasonable cost. Anyone shed any light? |
one dimension relates to the Piston size of the Mastercylinder and the other the distance between the pivot and the span adjuster which pushes the piston. Changing from a 16 to a 18 lever increases the distance betwwen Pivot and adjuster, so for the same braking effect you need less effort of for the same effort you get a greater braking effect. 16 X 16 is usually recomended for Single Disc setup or as a clutch master cylinder Not sure what the one is on my DD bike is its one of the folding ones off ebay that cost about £15 from Taiwan |
Thank you. Could I therefore put an 18 ratio lever on a clutch that is 16 x 16? What would the effect be if I did that? Have you got a good link for your levers please? £15 is right up my street! |
Swaping to a 16 to a 18 will give a lighter clutch action http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3502529932... 4.m1438.l2649 |
As always, thank you. |
