Carbon: Good as new by Neil748r

Well have been bloody amazed by the work done by Neil on my carbon airtubes!!
Set of DP airtubes from Ebay, brand new but had been crushed in transit (and by the looks of it by the van carrying them) so got them for much cheapness.
Neil has had them for a couple of weeks, got them back and by god i thought he had given me the wrong ones!
Cant say enough about how good the repairs are and it only cost me £35 a tube, put it this way if i`d gone to Ducati Glasgow and bought a new pair for £400 (ish) and they handed me these I wouldn`t have been disappointed.
Top bloke, Top repair job!!
Got carbon, give him a call.

Wonder what he could do with the hole in my hugger ;)

Felix 12-Jul-2004 23:11

Second that! See my earlier post about the airtubes I sent him. Amazing work!

I bid on them too - but some bugger outbid me!

Get back to fixing your calipers you numpty!

PS. I've just bought some AP Racing Calipers off a bloke on the board - he only wanted a fiver for them to cover postage! Result!

Thanks Gavin, glad you're pleased with them. I guess Antonye now knows who the bugger that outbid him is!

Felix, must admit I missed your post-repair post (I don't check that section very often - very lax of me I know) so a belated thankyou is in order. I take it you've managed to keep the bike the right way up since you got 'em back?

DJ, if you're serious about a repair just get in touch - holed huggers can be reworked.

As always, for anybody comming to me for repairs through the DSC, I try to keep the cost down as much as possible - all I ask is the price of materials/expenses plus a few quid for time spent.

Thanks again guys,

Neil.

Neil, yes, indeed I manage to keep the shiny side up all weekend. Have a read in the race section if you're curious.

I must admit that having read the posts on here, I would have done exactly the same thing by sending them off to you!

Never mind, you win some and you lose some.

Isn't that right, DJ? :P
