But will the bike that carries this engine steer faster than a Duke? That's what I want to know!

Is this for real?

bradders 14-Jul-2004 00:20

to a non techy head ,like me, for sure it is! other may disagree.....

fatduke11111 14-Jul-2004 01:20

I bet there is a disc valve and expansion boxes in ther somewhere...

I still thinkt they'll say it will struggle to break the 200mph barrier due to aerodynamics.

Does anyone remember the CBX1000? looks remarkably similar.... this time round I cant see how making the indicators the size of dinner plates, or painting it silver will make the thing look smaller though.:D:D:D

Are you going to put it in the Suzy next to it?

:D

skidlids 22-Jul-2004 15:20

That would turn it from a GP1?? into a RE9

skidlids 27-Jul-2004 10:40

Anorak time here but i think they are Rolls Royce Griffon engines. They produce about 2500hp at 2750rpm and we used in later marks of spitfire (XIV etc). The right hand one i think is a marine version as used in air sea rescue launchs or it might be from a tank.
