Help needed with MS Outlook 2002 I seem to have a small disaster on my hands :flame: Can anyone tell me how to overcome a synchonisation problem where I have deleted all of my contacts? I'm using Windows XP Pro and have tried looking for a way where I could turn it off without making any changes and therefore, be able to start it again with the original Contact file. I've tried looking for a ".pst" file to restore the folders but can't find one with the normal searches. Any ideas gratefully received. |
try looking for a *.pab file (personal address book) |
Zilch I'm afraid! |
ok, then in that case, i presume you are using XP pro, and have the system restore enabled (is by default) not sure how outlook will work with this using SMTP mail, but try rolling the system back to a couple of days ago. i think this is just OS tollerant and not aps, but certainly worth a go if they are irreplaceable. i am sure this covers all files using shadow copy. let me know how you get on good luck david |
Tried that as well but all to no avail. Thanks for trying. David |
Sorted! Looked in the recycle bin and then found them in the "Deleted" folder within MS Outlook. Simple task to restore and hey bingo. Thanks, David |
Nice one, glad your sorted :burn: |
