Daytona EVO Sport GTX

Anyone have any experience of these? What are they like to ride in/walk about in/all the usual questions?

I wear Oxtar TCS Evo's at the moment (not obessed with the word Evo by the way - coincidence! ;)) and they are extremely good - crash tested too.

Cheers for any opinions folks,

Ade.

Don't knowabout the Evo sport, but our Motorcyclists use the Roadstar GTX and swear by them - comfortable, warm and waterproof.
Trying to blag a pair for myself at the moment!

Nice

Had a pair for me birthday, saved my right leg when i had a high speed low side at paddock hill bend! Theyre totally re-buildable and after a short wear theyre very comfortable.:puzzled:

I've got a pair of the non goretex ones and they are really well made & give good protection & aren't as extreme (uncomfortable) as the Daytona race boots that cost around £500 - I had a pair!! agony for me other people love them

The way they're build forces you to ride on the balls of your feet as well so you can't be lazy if you know what I mean - cost £320ish & the don't really discout either but worth it

I bught a pair a couple of months ago - had heard of so many people buying them AFTER knackering their ankles and figured I'd rather not go that route! Personally, I didn't want to look like a stormtrooper and the protection they offer seems to be just about second to none.

Like you, I had some misgivings about comfort when walking and spent some time wandering around in them before I bought. I had some Daytona roadstars which were like slippers (well I do have an ST after all!!!) the evo GTX are not as comfortable but perfectly ok for wandering around off the bike and really comfortable on the bike. After a while I hardly know I'm wearing them.

Apparently, it's not recommended to walk around in them too much as the sole is quite thin but Daytona do a re-sole service should it be necessary as well as replacement outers etc. I'm really pleased with them so far
