My new 749/999 Carbon Rear Hugger

Thought you would like to see pics of my new rear hugger for the 749/999.

Hope the pics do it justice, as the quality is first class.

Nice one.
How much?
How easy to fit?

peterg 15-Aug-2004 11:03

Cost £130, which included £6.50 postage.

Easy to fit, two bolts and a 10 min job.

Who supplied the hugger. Looks good.

Nice looking hugger.

The hugger is from Sandbar Composites. Call them on 01295 812792, and ask for Nigel.

Very helpful, they also do other carbon parts.

Looks a bit big to me - I prefer the DP item. However, yours will probably stop all the chain fling that I get!

Twinfan

Yes, see what you mean about the size.

How are yo enjoying the 749? Do the Termis, sound good?

Picked mine up last Tuesday, and have clocked up 480 miles so far. 250 were done yesterday in North Wales, whilst trying to avoid the "Jobs Worth" NW Police.

Got it booked in next week for its first service, were I was hoping to have the Termis fitted, but have been told they do not have any in, and they are on back order!!

I noticed in the manual, that it says after its first service, you should still not exceed 7000rpm, until 2500km has been covered.
My dealer just said to keep below 5500rpm, until 600 miles.

I don't have Termis Peter - I think at £1000 they're not worth it. Plus the plod are much more likely to be on my back, and I already annoy the neighbours with my car! Stealth mode is good enough for me...

Keep pestering Ducati Manchester for your Termis. I've ordered a couple of things from them and they take AGES to arrive. I'm still waiting on a sweatshirt I ordered 6 weeks ago, that I'm now told MAY turn up once the factory re-opens at the end of the month

For the running in, I went by the book until the first service. After that, I've added 1000rpm every 150 miles just to be on the safe side....
