Service due soon Quick question to anyone with first hand experience - who would you recommend out of Riverside in Northampton, and Baines Racing down at Silverstone. The bike has generally been looked after by Baines but is slightly out of sync with it's service schedule, but then these days Riverside is a pukka Ducati dealer, so would it be better going there? Any good or bad experiences of either - u2u please Cheers Martin |
I'd take a trip up the M1 and go to Nelly at Cornerspeed. |
I second Paul's recommendation. Haven't had any personal dealings with Baines or Riverside. |
nelly or mike davis |
Just get it up the motorway to cornerspeed. Don't know anything of Baines or Riverside, but It's my experience that none of the main dealers have ever taken such good care of my babies. Nelly should give you a 10% discount on what's already a good hourly rate, and he's sure to do a good job too. |
Don't know anything about Riverside but Baines certainly know their stuff.... but they do have a bit of an attitude problem (or specifically Geoff? Baines does (not sure if I've got the right one there)). If you can deal with that, they'll look after your bike very well, but won't necessarily look after you, if you know what I mean. |
I have used baines for over 10 years and they are very, very good. It's John that has the attitude problem, not Geoff, and its's more of an act anyway! I would wholeheartedly recomend them to anybody. |
JHP Ducati Coventry everytime!! |
NELLY at Cornerspeed.Well worth the trip. |
Another vote for Neil and Cornerspeed :D Hmmmm.....Riverside....expert ducati mechanics eh? So how long has the professional way to split a chain been to use an angle grinder spraying the back of the bike and the wheel bearings etc. with swarf? Try Ride magazine a couple of months ago on the running report of the ST2. I couldn't beleive my eyes. If someone had done that to my bike, I'd use the grinder on their kneecaps :flame: |
