chipped.....

taken a chip out of front 5 spoke.not too big, about 5mm diameter, so alloy is now exposed.Any suggestions on what to seal it with as i don`t want spiders legs! and flaking.thanks. :sniff:

Well, as a short term measure I would put something like nail varnish on it (the clear overcoat) until you got it sorted out properly. Some of the Essex boys do cross-dressing (Antonye, Desmondo, Dickieducati ...) so you could borrow some nail varnish from them if you don't have any handy.

But you could put some chain lube or anything, just to give it a coating until you get it painted.

how do i get it sorted out "properly"?what does that involve?

TP 19-Aug-2004 15:56

I would speak to someone like tyreman (member on this board) about how they get repaired because I really don't know, haven't been down that road myself.

My thinking was more along the lines of getting it 'sealed' until you can get it fixed.

Someone more knowledgeable than myself will come along and help out shortly

Hagon used to be the people for wheel repairs.

Only got pearly white and clear here. I'm sure Dickie has some of that tarty red stuff he was wearing at the pub night left over...

:P

Oh you are SO pure and classy! None of that flashy tarty stuff for you.

;)

just stick a bit of stopper in it and flatten in with some fine paper and you can get the frame and wheel touch up on ebay either aerosol or brush type.
