Other than the "Funky" bodywork and exhaust notice anything a bit strange...?

Errrmmmm.. bit stumped here!

Probably works out at a free-revving but vibey 40bhp single, weighing in at about 130kg. Not sure why, but maybe they have a suitable race series.

Did you check out the Hypermono. Looks like a mono 996 to me. Given that it's dripping in goodies probably means 60bhp/120kg which is more like it....

As Ali says it must weigh next to nothing and can't make a whole heap of power so it probably doesn't need that extra disc.

I'm curious as to how they have the engine balanced? They can't be using the same system as Ducati did 'cos there obviously isn't room under that plate for a dummy conrod.

Still, I like it in a funny kind of way. Shows imagination.... You could have tried fixing your bike this way Chi, saved a whole heap on engine bits...

Seems quite possible. It looks like a 2 valve one on the front page with numbers and a datalogger on it. Racing Mono

Oooo yes... Those Marvic Pentas (?) together with that Stack tacho are probably worth more than my bike....

There's no way that this conversion would cost less than the £300 it cost to get another engine!!!

Despite SOS (Sound of the Singles) racing virtually disapearing here,its still very big on the continent.Basically the rules are,the bike has to be a four stroke single and thats it.Anything else goes.I think they have recently separated the water cooled bikes from the air cooled.It opens up the doors for all sorts of wacky ideas,ie fuel injection on old trailie engines and carbon fibre frames.I saw a lovely Husaberg MX engine in a 125 Aprillia GP frame.Just heavier than the average pushbike!The UK series had several differant frame builders and 'works' teams,Tigcraft,Hejira and Harris to name a few.Of course Ducati got into the act by making the fabulous Supermono.
I guess these Dutch "supermono's" could be fun on the right (twisty) road and track days.(Ask Monty about his Gilera)The frames seem to be made of thinner tubing and would be very light weight.Hence the single disc brake.
Not much fun on the motorway tho!

I think the one with the monster front guard looks proper trick and a right laugh to ride.

Someone wanted to know if the monster front guard would fit, now ya know. lol

and the underseat exhaust actually looks alright.!!!!
