Slipper clutch, again. Sorry!

HI all, I did the search thing but didn't find the exact stuff I was looking for, so here is my question.

My bike is a 998S, and I decided to go for one, I need advice/ opinions on which one to buy, what company is reliable as I need to buy it over the net and get it shipped here.

So far the best option altough an expensive one is the Sigma, and it seems Neil from Sigma is coming to the Portuguese MotoGP round, I could save the shipping cost.
:D

So any more options? Casoli maybe? :puzzled:

Thanks a lot for your replies in advance

I got word last night that there are quite a few brand new F02 Corse slippers lying around with a race team (in WSB currently) who are trying to get shut of them dirt cheap (compared to the retail price) if you're interested.

V. Tempted myself :alien:

Wouldn't fancy trying to find spares for a Corse slipper though.

Will be putting my Red Anodised Ramp & Bearing Pro V-Twins slipper up on the club board shortly ... when TecMoto get their workshop back in order!

Comes with a set of plates, stainless springs, all red anodised.

Looking for around 300 notes if anyone is interested.

weeksy

going back to subject of stm and sigma clutches

I appreciate that you are a good friend of AJ and want to help him promote his products but as you know I am a friend of Neil and can't let you again spread incorrect information about Sigma without saying something this time.

I have spoken with Neil and he has confirmed what I originally thought which is that his Ducati clutch comes with a new Centre and a new Basket. The only standard parts he uses are the springs, because he thinks riders want the same feel as standard, and standard Ducati plates, because they are not too expensive and easily available (If you really want to know he really likes the aluminium ST4S clutch pack because it goes straight in, is light and lasts well).

As far as I can see the STM and the Sigma use the same basic ball and ramp design, have a look on Neils site if you want to see. http://www.sigmaperformance.com/slipper.html

Dont get me wrong about raving about someones product but please be careful if you are going to criticise another product as it might be best in future to get your facts right before going into print .... we are talking about peoples trade and livelihood here.

It's pretty much the same as any slipper, uses the same plates etc..

I used to get the old plates (one race start) free from Red Bull Ducati a few years ago, and they'd go straight into my slipper no problem.

From what I gather the team, ran 998RS02's last year and are now running 999RS04's so they've got loads of spares to get rid off, obviously a lot of those won't fit directly onto a road bike, but the clutch will.

JP, I could do with enlarging my RS spares inventory. Can you U2U me some details?
