It's worth bearing in mind that a few of the more expensive eproms (and eeproms) have copy protection in them, so you may not be able to read the full chip with the programmer and copy it successfully.

Might be worth doing a test on your "old" chip to see if it is successful or not - your programmer should have a checksum test in it to compare the original and copy.
