One of our fellow Essex members was having problems with a clutch pressure plate - it may be the same thing.

If you turn the plate over and look at the indents that the teeth go into, his were arched rather than square cut. Because of his clutch teeth, the arches were not cut deep enough to engage the plate properly. When he looked at the original plate the cuts were square rather than arched, and this seemed to make all the difference.

Don't know if I've explained that too well, but check your original and bling clutch pressure plates and you might see the same?
