Seriously, if he is going to start playing and has never done it before, get him to wear gloves (latex will do) and a face mask because the stuff gets everywhere and it's not a good idea to breath it in. There's nothing worse than trying to pick bits of fibreglass out of your fingers that you can't quite see...
