| Phillip Island!!!!! It's probably about a two to three hour flight from Brisbane to Melbourne and then a two hour drive from Melbourne to the island. So it ain't exactly like you could do a day trip!!
However I thought Brisbane was great. Although I prefer Perth! Brisbane is still just about in the tropical part of the country so it tends to have a wet season and a dry season as opposed to the four seasons you get around Melbourne. It's also close to (relatively speaking!!) the Barrier Reef, Byron Bay etc etc. If you get the chance to go then do it. You can always come back. Not that I know why you would. Wish I could live out in Oz and envy anybody that gets the opportunity to do so.
