Yes, I think the connector has red, black and white for the pulse.

I tried finding a suitable connector myself to make an intermediate cable, but didn't have any luck, so I ended up taking the connectors out of the plug and piggy-back soldering the (very thin) datatool wires onto them before refitting back into the connector.
