Help please ASAP.

My bike broke down on me yesterday it wont start, it makes a nook noise when I try and start it, and the breakdown man sad it sounds like it is the starter clutch, so I have got the bike in the house now but I cant get the alternator rotor off to see?
By the way the rotor nut was lose can that be the problem ?

Helllllllllllp please
:(

I think a couple DD boys had a loose rotor nut early in the season, and I believe that made them stop too.

Can't help you though, sorry :(

Alternator nut should be torqued and loctited as part of a service schedule

If lose it may well have been what was causing the problem.

ok mate, i give it a go and let you no.

keefer 24-Aug-2005 20:56

you should not just do it up.
there is a washer that sits at the back of the whole assembly and can slip of slightly and cause everything to be out of sync.
strip it all down and put it back together correctly then tighten up the nut
