Fit Optimate

I want to fit my Optimate to my 916.
I have Dzus fasteners on both sides of the fairing, can you tell me in what order do I need to remove the bodywork.
Or can I just remove the battery side fairing.

When I plug in my optimate using the croc clips straight to the battery, I just pull the two dzus fasteners from the rear of the right panel and ease the panel out. No need to remove any bodywork.

Just take the battery side off, 4 upper and the two underneath which bolts the sides together

I've run a cable up the frame from the battery and used the connectors supplied with the charger so there is no need to remove the fairing. The extension is just tie wrapped to the frame near the top of the fairing, so its just a case of reaching down and pulling up the wire, plugging in and charge away.

likewise, I have mine with the extension clipped to the frame just above the clutch, works a treat;)

Its a fancy battery charger that allegedly monitors the state of the battery and tops up the charge,if required.
The jury is out to whether they actually work tho!
