Found - Rear Shock I'm still chasing after a new rear shock ! just had confirmation from Maxton that mine is jim rucked, so I'm well and truly stuck now. Any help at all in sourcing a new shock would be greatly appreciated - hopefully I can get one sorted before the weather totally disappears. btw Harris said they could get Ohlins to build one up for me but it would be neck end of £500 :o It would be good to add to the 260 miles totted up since her rebuild :burn: [Edited on 13-10-2005 by 851neil] |
i have the std. showa from my 888 if you're interested.(12,000klms). i'm in oz though so not sure about air mail cost if you're in a hurry. contact me if you want it. gosh, don't even know what to ask for it! |
I've, managed to get hold of a used one from fleabay thanks - not sure what it's going to be like, but it's an Ohlins & I'm hoping that I've not thrown money away. cheers Neil |
Received the Ohlins shock yesterday - opened the box and it's mint, no worries, fitted her up last night and took the bike for a good run out today. yeeeeehah The only issue is that there isn't a screw fixing for the remote reservoir - the old marzocchi item had a couple of mounting points onto the subframe. Any suggestions or am I resorting to zip ties ?? |
Glad it worked out for ya. Rgds, Rob |
Scuse me ignorance but wot do you pump the stock shock up with? I was filling it with air but I'm sure maxton told me to use nitrogen, but I use that in the garden. Help would be appreciated Phil:puzzled: |
I've been told to use air - but Nitrogen is a great idea it'll be much more stable with varying temperature extremes, hadn't thought of that one till now... |
