Gearing

Hello everone, this is my first post and was wondering if anyone new where i can get a 14 tooth front sproket for my 999s??? iv been told by a reliable source that this will help the power curve in addition to a power commander.:D

Hmm,cant see how a new sprocket will help the power curve,...but anyway,try B&C.Just over £20 for a 14 toother.

I wouldn't advise putting on a small sprocket like this because they give the chain a hard time. Go up two teeth on the rear sprocket instead.

I'v been told a 14 tooth on the front is the same as going up 2 on the rear???

generaly, one down on the front equals 3 & a bit up on the back.

the numbers are correct, but if you have a 999s......i think the power what 136+ horses, putting a smaller sprocket on the front makes the chain run around a tighter radius.......much beter to go up on the rear.......sprockets are same price...ish, treat yourself to a new gold chain so it could be a bit longer!!!

im runnning a 38t on the back of my 999
if you have a old style swingarm you can fit 38t without adding a link but if youve got the new swingarm youll need to add one
ive done both and find the rear sprocket is friendlier to the chain requiring less adjustment
