"Cloudy" front fender The front carbon fender on my 888 needs re-finishing as it's gone white in patches..if I rub it down a bit and re-laquer will it come up any good, or should I just source a newer one? or get it painted red? Thanks in advance |
Its the effect of UV light breaking down the resin that causes the milky effect. You should be able to (carefully!) sand it out and then apply some clear coat to build up a shine again. |
Try some black boot polish, was a tip from a mate and worked for me. Bit of elbow grease and it looks good again. |
don't think the boot polish idea will last but have a go if you want meanwhile sand it down with wet and dry and get it lacquered. works a trick my air ducts went the same. they look blingin now though |
Cheers for the advice, think I'll try the lacquer route. |
