748 ride height-- a rough guide? can anyone suggest the rear ride height for my 748 and also a simple way to measure it ( i dont have any special tools), ive changed sprockets etc and it now feels lower, any info appreciated...cheers |
After that have you got the wheel hub in the right location?:eureka: |
As its eccentric you need to make sure first of all that the spindle is in the lower half of the hub.....and ideally, around 5 0 clock as you look at it from the sprocket side! |
call me dumb but i cant see how you can check it from the sprocket side, however from the wheel side it appears to be at 7 o'clock which if reversed would be 5o'clock? |
this is how to view it. |

Er,,,,,your dumb! Once youve sussed it ot you will be able to see it from any position! youve only got to look at where the centre hole is sitting! that piccie is good. |

that was a really good article right up until the last paragraph. Stage Three 1. Buy a Magnesium arm and a set of triple clamps with 27mm of offset. About $3000 on a good day. |
well without taking the carrier off it looks like its at about 6ish, basically i know it was right but ive just swopped the 40 on the back for a 38, and apparently each tooth equates to approx 3mm drop in height? |
