Air filter: DP or KN?

What's the difference between a KN Air filter and a DP high flow one? On Ebay the difference is about £20 (the KN is more expensive), so is the most expensive the best one or they're the same?

Pipercross

Tonio - this is one of the few occassions where you will see me write 'dont buy off Ebay'....

I've seen K+N filters cheaper from places like pdq:

http://www.pdq1.co.uk/

and TTS

http://www.tts-performance.com/

(who do pipercross as well) - and usually their post and packing is cheaper as well.

I've always stick with K&N as I bought a kit containing the filter cleaner and re-oiler that still has not ran out after three years!
K&N oil filters are niceas well - built in nut on the end !!!

Cheers Iconic...

To both of you, what does pipercross mean? :puzzled:

You get the cut-down airbox included with the dp one dont you ?

(pipercross make air filters mon ami du jambes des grenouilles)

Pipercross is another filter, like a K&N.

I prefer the Pipercross as it uses a dual-layer of differing densities of foam, to give better filtration of particles. Like the K&N is can be "washed" and re-oiled (you get a can of oil) so it will last a lot longer than the OEM paper filter.

f you want to practise your English, try reading Shazaam's article:

I doubt there is much between the K&N, Pipercross and the DP one to be honest, but you can get a Pipercross filter for around £40 - I think it's cheaper than the K&N ?

I still use the K&N oil filter cartridges. As Frank says, these come with a pre-drilled nut on the end making lock-wiring them really easy.

Cheers Antonye.
Will have a look at the pipercross ones.

On Ebay KNs are at about £40 and DP £25 I think...

D'ailleurs, je pratique mon français - à mon nouveau lieu de travail les trois types sont français, ainsi je dois vraiment pratiquer !

Nice one, no mistake :)
I'd be happy making all my English sentences like that (not in French, but without any mistake).
