Mine just 'went' on the way home from work this evening. All of a sudden there's lots of squeaking and grating and the front end shudders, then it's ok again for a while....

Soon after I got my 1998 916 it was Dyno'd and found to be running so rich the mechanic speculated the fuel was washing the barrels dry, topping up the oil, acting as an expensive coolant, etc....

Just got back from the Nurburgring - what a place !! anyway, I had my first 'side stand moment' whilst there and the bike went down. Since it fell, I've had the clutch stop...
