Take the bits off mate, they are all good desireable parts and they will sell no problem for at least £1350+, you can then list the bike at £8995 which will be a bargain for an 08 1098.

I sold around £3500 worth of bits within a day or two then got a decent price for my standard bike which worked out about £2500 more than I would have got if I left them on.

Hi, Thanks.

I have thought of that but with a broken, leg, shoulder and hand it’s not too easy for me to strip the parts off. I had hoped that anyone looking for a trick bike may be attracted with the extra kit as a standard duke is just that.

If thing were different I would of kept it but in view of nearly been killed by a stupid car driver and losing a mate a couple of month earlier I decided it’s too dangerous on the road and am going to stick to my track and off road riding where there no cars etc. Assuming I recover.

Still someone may be out there who’s want a bargain.

If you want a hand to sort anything, like removing bits and replacing them, give me a shout as I'm in Chelmsford and can travel.

Will work for beer

Ha! I've just been told who you are, so give me a bell if you need any help. I wouldn't trust Glenn to shake a spanner at my bike either ... have you seen the state of the BSA thing?

Ant,

Thanks for the offer that’s very kind of you. If I can’t sell it I may be forced to consider this option.

How’s things with you. Colin has also been in contact with me which was nice of him. Had hoped to pop along on the 1098 to a club night at some point but that's unlikely to happen now.
