Clamps for carbon exhaust guard

Anyone know of someone who manufactures clamps to fit a 748SPS carbon exhaust guard, or alternatively a source for stainless steel clamps that will do the job?

TIA

Iain,

Cast your mind back, we covered this!

Drop me a line if you want a refresher.

Cheers, Neil

P.S. You still wanting those heel guards now you've got the exhaust shield?

Hi Neil,

yes, I remember we talked about it but all that stuck in my head was that stainless steel hose-clamps could be made to do the job; I think I was in a daze after looking at all those very special bits for your 748!
Tried sourcing clamps but all I can find are the zinc-coated ones a la Halfords which I assume will corrode pretty quickly.
Yes, still want the heel plates, but only been through to Auld Reekie briefly since. Hope to be over between Christmas and New Year so maybe catch you then.
BTW, don't shudder but I have another bit of carbon for you to look at, a 748/9** vented f/mudguard. The lacquer has started to lift at the front and the 'grill' rivets are pretty corroded. Anyway I'll let you make your mind up if it's a goer when you see it!

Cheers,

Iain

No probs Iain, I'll keep hold of the heelguards 'til we hook up.

I'll have a rake through the parts bin and see if I've got a couple of suitable stainless clamps, if I do you're welcome to them. Got plenty of the other parts you'll need to finish the job so no worries there.

Oh yeah, and bring the front mudguard through with you and I'll give it the once over.

Cheers, Neil.

P.S. I'll drop you a line if I have any joy with the clamps.
